The Royal Oporto Late Bottled Vintage is one of the many selections of fine Ports from Portugal that are now available at Clark Wine Center and other wine outlets of Yats Wine Cellars in Manila.
Tasting notes: Late Bottled Vintage Ports are made from wines from vintages declared as very good years. Unlike Vintage Ports which are bottled unfiltered within three years ageing in oak, Late bottled vintage ports are bottled between 4-6 years of oak aging. This makes them more approachable than vintage ports and can be drunk as soon as they are sold. They are fruitier, more concentrated, with flavors of stewed berries, spices, and raisins. These sweet wines are better paired with fruit desserts and strong cheeses such as stilton and Blue.
