1976 Château Margaux is certainly a wine for special occasions. This 1976 Château Margaux might have seen better days but it is by no means washed up. In fact, this Margaux exudes the most attractive of feminine charm that fans of Claret describe as moreish. True to form, the 1976 Château Margaux makes it almost impossible for anyone not to keep reaching for the bottle to pour more into the glass, provided that there is enough wine left for the pouring of course.

Is the 1976 Château Margaux worth the price? That is always a very subjective questions, often soul searching too. Considering how long it has been cellared and preserved in such good condition, one has to expect to pay at least this much for one of the five legends on Médoc.
